A Flash in Cosmic Time 
 When we look up at the night sky, the stars and worlds we see are shots from different ages in the macrocosm’s 13.8- billion- time history. Among these cosmic bones, quasars stand out as some of the most brilliant lights, visible across billions of light- times. Yet, their brilliance is n't unevenly spread through time.
